Sorry to those who have been looking for updates but have found none. I have been slack and for that I apologise.
So what are we up to? Well it has been a little slow of late. Allan has mostly been working on his own. I do have to go up at least once usually on Sunday to clean up for him, men! Such messy creatures. The water system is going in right now, Allan designed how things should all go on the computer some time ago but in reality things sometimes get a little difficult. Lots of money has gone to various boat shops and I think we should have shares in BCF and Bunnings.
Our main water storage is up the bow end in specially made plastic tanks (see photo). We will have a total of 200 litres of water. Later on we are thinking of having a water maker. Allan is so glad we are only having one bathroom, it takes so very long and it looks like spaghetti junction. In the bathroom we also have one black water tank for the yuckies, and also a grey water tank. The grey water is not necessary for boats but we kind of think eventually it will be needed (grey water is the shower etc). We also have a grey water tank in the kitchen for the sink waste. Of course this has meant more pipes and fittings but well we will be ahead of any regulation. We also will have a salt-water tap in the kitchen; this I can imagine will be useful as the dishes can be rinsed without regard to wasting water. So you can imagine all the pipes, fittings pumps, and holes Allan has to make is why it is taking so long. He has fitted the outside shower on the left side of the boat. I have chosen the shower and the taps and the basin. The bathroom basin is clear glass, which will sit on the counter top, slightly over the edge of the bench. The toilet we have also bought and has been installed. There are various types of marine toilets, it has an emaciator and this one uses fresh water. He hopes he will be finished the water in one more weekend, but who knows.

This should be the final of making of the furniture. The cockpit area, this area is outside the main cabin, it is under cover but needs to be weather resistant. This area houses the helm, the steering wheel. We have decided to only have one wheel as we hope to also be able to have a remote steering device. So the wheel will be on the port (left). As seen in the photos there is a sloping bench this will be for instruments. I will of course have to stand on the seat to be able to see up front being as I am pretty short. To the right of the entrance door to the saloon there is a cupboard, this will house the pump for the fridge plus storage for a small table (card table) so we can use it in the cockpit to eat outside, or for nibbles and wine while sitting admiring the aqua water and lush tropical island. OK I’m drifting off now. It will also be a rubbish bin. The back seat took a bit of effort to make too. Allan did have to do a lot of this by himself the work force are now back at school and Uni, so they have to study.
